For outsiders Owen and Maddy, TV feels more real than real life. The two students form a bond over a love of “The Pink Opaque,” a Buffy the Vampire Slayer-style 90s TV show, but when Maddy mysteriously disappears, Owen’s suburban reality begins to crack.
