Isaak and I just got out of "Two Trains Runnin,'" a historical documentary about two groups of men who go hunting for lost blues stars at the height of the Civil Rights Movement in the deep south.
The film is absolutely spectacular. It's as inspiring as it is moving, and does a fabulous job of capturing the feelings of those who were oppressed in Mississippi at the time. Some of the story is told in a graphic animation style which tells the story of these young men searching for lost legends in a modern and visually appealing context.
I would 100% recommend going to see this film. It's powerfully crafted and a stunning depiction of what a historical documentary should be.
Right now, we're gearing up for "The Summer of Walter Hacks" and the Q&A that will follow, so our day is far from over.
I hope to see you there!
